Justin and I have truly been blessed so much! We were blessed with quadruplets but 2 have became our guardian angels! We know our baby boys, Addison and Levi are watching down, helping God take care of us and Wesley and Cooper. This is the start of our journey so I have decided to make this blog for updates of all of the emotions and excitement that will happen along the way! Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers! Thanks to everyone for all of the congrats.! We are so excited and are thankful to have great family, friends and community that are wanting to help us! No one will ever understand how much it means to us! If it's your first time visiting our blog, start at the bottom and work your way up, or on the right hand side you can look by date.

New York?? Nate Berkus show??? oh myy!!!

So sorry we haven't been on the ball with the blog. Things have been sooo busy starting Friday, March 11th. It started off as a normal friday at the salon until Casey answered the phone and it was 'The Nate Show' calling. Not expecting it at all I grabbed the phone in a big grin and started answering the 100 questions I was being asked. Someone, a close family friend had wrote the show letting them know that we needed major help with the 4 babies that are on the way. The largest question they asked..."Could you and your husband fly to New York on Tuesday to be on the show?". I was in such shock all I could say was let me contact my doctor and if you could call me in about 45 mins I can talk to you a little more. I handed the phone back to Casey and had her start to do some of the calling for me because I was still busy with clients in my chair. I called Justin as soon as I heard back from The Nate Show, I wanted to make sure this was for real and no one was playing a large joke on us. Justin got really excited but was worried all the hard work he had done was going to be redone and he would have nothing to show for it. That wasn't what happened though. Casey was doing the emailing back and forth for me while I was still busy at work. I even had to get her to run to our house and measure all the rooms height, length and width and then take pictures to send to the show because they needed them asap. After hearing back from the doctor they told me I would be perfectly fine for me to travel so the planning started immediately. After work Justin and I head off to dinner with his family. The whole dinner was all talk of 'The Nate Show' and how excited we all were that this was happening to us!

Work was crazy on Saturday, it felt like time flew by with everything that was going on. I was getting emails all day about our information of flights, what we needed, our agenda, etc. I had to stay after work late to get all my appointments fixed and moved around. I now had to work on Monday because we were flying out on Tuesday, spending the day on the show Weds. then traveling back that night. The producer sent me a email about a at home video we had to do. So of course I have no idea what I am supposed to do or how I am supposed to do it. After work I just relaxed as much as possible because I knew this week was going to be a roller coster. Sunday after church Justins dad, mom and sister came over as well as my cousin Reece, my sister and my friend Brandi to help with the video. It was quite funny because in the at home video we had a script and everything. All the takes that Reece recorded all had something funny in each one of them but they turned out to be a lot better than we thought! After the excitement of being recorded for a couple of hours Casey and I started on sending the video and photos of us to the show through email so they could have them before we got there. I made sure with my "stylist" Casey that the outfits I had picked out were going to be perfect for the show. Then we continued on with your Sunday relaxing and doing some things around the house.

Monday, I worked all day, ran some errands then headed to a friends restaurant for a re-grand opening with free food! I had 4 plates for my 4 baby boys and it sure was good! haha.

After dinner I headed home to rest because I knew I was going to be overwhelmed traveling the next two days. At about 12:30 the next day, our friend Brandi took Justin and I to the airport. The flight was about an hour and 45 minutes and wasn't as bad as we thought, Justin hates to fly. Everything was going so smooth and when we got to the baggage claim there was a man holding a sign with our names waiting with a car outside. We checked into our hotel, then decided we wanted to walk around a little and then grab some dinner. It was soooo yummy and it was nice to have a peaceful dinner with my husband, plus we were in NYC! The next day the chaos started. We had a car waiting for us the next morning to take us to the studio. They took us straight into our own private room where we hung out until they took us into hair and make-up. Yes, Justin and I both had to do hair and make-up, it was quite funny but Justin was a very good sport about it. After that we headed on set to start filming the show. The BET studio was actually under us and the music was totally thumping the whole place. Justin defiantly made the comment that he wanted to go be on 106 and Park. haha. During the recording we got to meet with Nate and then meet a couple who had quintuplets (thats 5 for those who may not be familiar). That was pretty awesome and after the show we really got to sit down and really talk to them about everything and even play and hold the babies. They were a amazing couple and so trustworthy with the babies by just handing them over to Justin and I. It was nice to meet people in person who knew exactly what Justin and I are going through. As the show went on we got some pretty amazing gifts. The Nate Show isn't redoing the whole nursery they are just sending us some things to get us started and to help with what Justin and I already have. They are providing us with the bedding that is absolutely amazing and we also get some amazing furniture from Pottery Barn. To get us started on clothes they are giving us some gift cards to Carter's and Oshgosh! Nate is also making a layout that will help us know exactly how to set up our room for our 4 baby boys. We now know first hand how much hard work it takes to make these shows run like they do! We are soo thankful to have been on the show and it was a truly amazing experience. We aren't sure when the show will air but we promise to let everyone know as soon as we find out!

  1. Well congrats on your trip to NYC and getting to talk to another couple with multiples. We hope they were able to help with alot of questions that you may have and what you're going through now. Its also a good to get advice from someone who knows that you're going through and what to expect. Hope all is going well.

  4. Megan,
They are several sets of quads in the W-S area a I delivered our quints at Forsyth. TCMOM is a great wealth of support and knowledge for higher order multiples too. I was on bedrest in the hospital for 50 days and the babies were in the NICU. Now that the kids are in Kindergarten, I volunteer at Forsyth. I would be glad to help in anyway I can.
