About Me

My photo
Justin and I have truly been blessed so much! We were blessed with quadruplets but 2 have became our guardian angels! We know our baby boys, Addison and Levi are watching down, helping God take care of us and Wesley and Cooper. This is the start of our journey so I have decided to make this blog for updates of all of the emotions and excitement that will happen along the way! Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers! Thanks to everyone for all of the congrats.! We are so excited and are thankful to have great family, friends and community that are wanting to help us! No one will ever understand how much it means to us! If it's your first time visiting our blog, start at the bottom and work your way up, or on the right hand side you can look by date.

Oranges in my belly!

I am now at 17 weeks! According to my baby growing chart, Wesley and Cooper are the length of a large orange. I should now start to really feel them kick and move around really good! I can't wait because, it's sort of a reassuring feeling that nothing is wrong. The swelling in my feet have gone down a large amount and I feel like I am not growing as fast. Justin and I are trying to stay as positive as we can and know that God is only leading us in the path that we need to go down. We are still saddened by the loss of our sweet Levi and Addison but know they are getting well taken care of up in Heaven and looking over us making sure Wesley, Cooper and I are all ok!

17 week Belly shots!

On Sunday after church, some friends gave us a community baby shower! It was a huge success and we got tons of awesome things! I can not believe how many people we have supporting us even after everything has happened. It makes Justin and I so thankful to have such wonderful people in our lives. Everything about the shower was amazing, thank you so much Cindy, Laura, Dani, Jade, Rob and Drew and anyone else who helped for all of the hard work! After the shower Justin, Casey and I headed home to start on the organizing. My car and Casey's car were full to the max we even had to put some things in my friend Brandi's because it wouldn't all fit! Justin and Casey made about 7 trips a piece up and down the steps to get everything upstairs. It was pretty incredible how much stuff we got! Thanks to everyone who came out to the shower to help support us, you will never know how much it means to us! We thought we were going to get to have a doctors appointment yesterday but because my care is officially turned over to Baptist we have to wait until next week. All we can do is keep praying things are still going well with Wesley and Cooper. Since I couldn't go to the doctor I did some early nesting to the babies rooms. I got everything all put away and even made 2 trips to Target to get some organizing items to make sure the babies rooms are going to be well kept and neat. Justin and I are so happy with everything we got and we still have 2 more baby showers to go! Below are just a few photos from the shower. To see all of them you can go to our facebook page, just search for Masencup Quads if you aren't already our friend!

The Nate Show update!----Our show will air on April 6th at 11:00 on Fox! Make sure you set your DVR's or watch! It will be our first time watching it as well, and we can't wait to see it!

Finding the right words..

There is nothing easy about this post. It's hard to even put it into words. We knew there were going to be ups, downs and chances that things could change in a instant. That is what we found out today for sure and there was no possible way to prepare for it. We went to the doctor for a routine check-up. We are in the works of transferring to a high risk doctor and it was our second visit with them. We thought it was going to be just a normal visit with a sonogram to see the babies, their heartbeats and measurements and to also check my cervix. Little did we know, what they found instead was that baby A and baby B no longer had heart beats. Like we saw at all of our other visits, it was harder to see a separation between the two. Meaning there wasn't a strong membrane separating them and it was highly likely something could happen, as in one wrapping their umbilical cord around the other or the fluids not being transferred as well. At this point baby C and baby D are doing great. They both have strong heart beats and are measuring right at 17 weeks, which is right on schedule. We know it is going to be a fight, but we want to make sure they stay healthy as possible, along with me. We are leaving it in Gods hands and we know he has a plan for us and this is just a way of him telling us he is watching over all of us. Right before we went in to get our sonogram we actually had decided on the 4 first names. Baby C and D are Wesley and Cooper and baby A and B are Levi and Addison. It's so hard to say but now we know we have Levi and Addison, our little guardian angels, watching over all of us and our families.

Please continue to pray for our baby boys, us, as well our families. These weeks are not going to be easy and we are going to need all the love and support from the amazing people in our lives to get us through this. Please help us overcome our loss of our baby boys, Levi and Addison Masencup.

Rest in Peace baby boys! May God always be with you, and we know you will watch over us! We love you both so much!

New York?? Nate Berkus show??? oh myy!!!

So sorry we haven't been on the ball with the blog. Things have been sooo busy starting Friday, March 11th. It started off as a normal friday at the salon until Casey answered the phone and it was 'The Nate Show' calling. Not expecting it at all I grabbed the phone in a big grin and started answering the 100 questions I was being asked. Someone, a close family friend had wrote the show letting them know that we needed major help with the 4 babies that are on the way. The largest question they asked..."Could you and your husband fly to New York on Tuesday to be on the show?". I was in such shock all I could say was let me contact my doctor and if you could call me in about 45 mins I can talk to you a little more. I handed the phone back to Casey and had her start to do some of the calling for me because I was still busy with clients in my chair. I called Justin as soon as I heard back from The Nate Show, I wanted to make sure this was for real and no one was playing a large joke on us. Justin got really excited but was worried all the hard work he had done was going to be redone and he would have nothing to show for it. That wasn't what happened though. Casey was doing the emailing back and forth for me while I was still busy at work. I even had to get her to run to our house and measure all the rooms height, length and width and then take pictures to send to the show because they needed them asap. After hearing back from the doctor they told me I would be perfectly fine for me to travel so the planning started immediately. After work Justin and I head off to dinner with his family. The whole dinner was all talk of 'The Nate Show' and how excited we all were that this was happening to us!

Work was crazy on Saturday, it felt like time flew by with everything that was going on. I was getting emails all day about our information of flights, what we needed, our agenda, etc. I had to stay after work late to get all my appointments fixed and moved around. I now had to work on Monday because we were flying out on Tuesday, spending the day on the show Weds. then traveling back that night. The producer sent me a email about a at home video we had to do. So of course I have no idea what I am supposed to do or how I am supposed to do it. After work I just relaxed as much as possible because I knew this week was going to be a roller coster. Sunday after church Justins dad, mom and sister came over as well as my cousin Reece, my sister and my friend Brandi to help with the video. It was quite funny because in the at home video we had a script and everything. All the takes that Reece recorded all had something funny in each one of them but they turned out to be a lot better than we thought! After the excitement of being recorded for a couple of hours Casey and I started on sending the video and photos of us to the show through email so they could have them before we got there. I made sure with my "stylist" Casey that the outfits I had picked out were going to be perfect for the show. Then we continued on with your Sunday relaxing and doing some things around the house.

Monday, I worked all day, ran some errands then headed to a friends restaurant for a re-grand opening with free food! I had 4 plates for my 4 baby boys and it sure was good! haha.

After dinner I headed home to rest because I knew I was going to be overwhelmed traveling the next two days. At about 12:30 the next day, our friend Brandi took Justin and I to the airport. The flight was about an hour and 45 minutes and wasn't as bad as we thought, Justin hates to fly. Everything was going so smooth and when we got to the baggage claim there was a man holding a sign with our names waiting with a car outside. We checked into our hotel, then decided we wanted to walk around a little and then grab some dinner. It was soooo yummy and it was nice to have a peaceful dinner with my husband, plus we were in NYC! The next day the chaos started. We had a car waiting for us the next morning to take us to the studio. They took us straight into our own private room where we hung out until they took us into hair and make-up. Yes, Justin and I both had to do hair and make-up, it was quite funny but Justin was a very good sport about it. After that we headed on set to start filming the show. The BET studio was actually under us and the music was totally thumping the whole place. Justin defiantly made the comment that he wanted to go be on 106 and Park. haha. During the recording we got to meet with Nate and then meet a couple who had quintuplets (thats 5 for those who may not be familiar). That was pretty awesome and after the show we really got to sit down and really talk to them about everything and even play and hold the babies. They were a amazing couple and so trustworthy with the babies by just handing them over to Justin and I. It was nice to meet people in person who knew exactly what Justin and I are going through. As the show went on we got some pretty amazing gifts. The Nate Show isn't redoing the whole nursery they are just sending us some things to get us started and to help with what Justin and I already have. They are providing us with the bedding that is absolutely amazing and we also get some amazing furniture from Pottery Barn. To get us started on clothes they are giving us some gift cards to Carter's and Oshgosh! Nate is also making a layout that will help us know exactly how to set up our room for our 4 baby boys. We now know first hand how much hard work it takes to make these shows run like they do! We are soo thankful to have been on the show and it was a truly amazing experience. We aren't sure when the show will air but we promise to let everyone know as soon as we find out!

Being blessed with 4 BOYSSSSSSSS!!!!

Sorry for the delay but we wanted to wait until we got an update from the doctor yesterday! :) We went to see a specialist, just to make sure everything was going good and to see if we could maybe find out what we were having. We did find out we are having ALL 4 BOYS! They are all measuring right on time and the doctor said things are going good. They want to continue to keep a good watch on them and me so we have to go every 2 weeks. The space is getting smaller as they get larger so i'm happy I get to go more often to see how they are growing inside there! Justin and I are so excited because now we get to really get the nursery finished before I go on bed-rest, now that we know the sex. Here are some of the wonderful photos of our baby BOYS!

Over the past week Justin has made quite a few trips to Lowe's to get the rooms ready to set up the cribs. Lights are in all the closets, even in mine (which I have been waiting on forever (: haha ) and the closet organizers are all finished. Thank you Justin and Steve! Thanks to Justin's uncle John we also have new doors on the closets in the babies rooms. There were problems with the other doors where they weren't opening as well. We also finally got a electric garage door opener thanks to Salem Garage Door Service. That is one thing I have been waiting for since we have been married and I am soooo happy we finally have the opener!
Over the whole weekend our church had a awesome group come to visit, where we had lots of different events, it was called Lay Renewal Weekend. So anytime that Justin had a break from working we made time to go to church to experience this. We both feel as if the whole weekend brought us closer to each other, as well as our church family and we are happy to say we were brought closer to God who is a very important part of our lives. The Lay Renewal weekend is just what we needed to renew us in the Faith we have in God. We are so happy and blessed and we thank God everyday for everything he has done for us.

Now time for the belly photos! BUMB WATCH!

"Do you want my autograph now..or later??"

After a very long work week it was great to get some much needed things done. Friday night after work Mom, Casey and I went to the mall to get me some more maternity clothes and dresses for my upcoming showers. As I was in the dressing room I looked down and noticed I had no ankles. I said to mom "I have kankles and i'm only at 12 weeks!!!" After working all day it wasn't very smart to make a late night trip to the mall. After the mall we headed to Olive Garden and boyyy was it good! I started to pass out the appetizer to mom and casey, just trying to be polite. Not realizing I kept loading up the bread chips with artichoke dip and giving them about 5 a piece, Casey said "Dude, I'm not pregnant too..you are trying to feed me wayyy to much". All I could do was laugh at her because I was thinking that they were just as hungry as I was. hahaha. When I got home later that night it was wonderful to put my feet up and not move the rest of the night. During work on saturday I tired my best to use the cutting stool as much as possible and having the other girls shampoo for me. Thank God I have some good girls working at the salon that are very helpful. Saturday night I did absolutely nothing but eat, relax and watched a movie with Justin which was exactly what I needed!

Our 13 week doctors appointment was yesterday, and we were so excited to go see the babies. Those 4 weeks felt like a yearrr. Justin's mother, Karen got to go with us and she was so excited to see her little grand babies all moving around in there. The heartbeats of all 4 were very strong and in the range they need to be in. The doctor said I was doing great too but I need to defiantly take it easy on the weekends and take as many breaks as I can during the day at work. They are measuring right on time and were moving soo much while they were trying to take their photos. We are starting to think that baby A and B are boys because they are moving around like crazy in there, so wild that it took like 5 minutes a piece to even hear the heartbeats. I am going to add some photos of the size and what they look like in there.

Isn't this soo cool! Can't believe theres 4 of them inside my belly! I can not wait until I get to feel them kicking and moving in there! Here are the US photos.
